From Spring 2023 to Summer 2024, I had the amazing opportunity of working full-time at KUTV (Salt Lake City's CBS affiliate). As part of the studio crew, I was responsible for the teleprompter, lighting, audio, and floor direction on varying shifts. A few months into my time at KUTV, I began training as a news director, which allowed me to code and piece together newscasts.
In addition to completing daily tasks, I was fortunate to experience life in a newsroom. I had the chance to see how all the pieces came together to create a form of large-scale media seen by thousands each hour.
I am so thankful for all the skills I learned during my time at KUTV.
